I kinda feel like a little grey cloud in this outfit. There are some days when all I want to do is stay curled up underneath blankies, all warm and cozy. This outfit is my translation of that feeling, so I could still mentally be in bed all day! Because this oversized sweater sometimes puffs up and makes me look suuuuper big on top I like to pair it with less on the bottom, like here with shorts and tights. The mornings are pretty chilly, but the afternoons warm enough to get away with tights on some days so I'm taking advantage of that for as long as possible!
When wearing all one color, or muted colors, I really like to have little pops of color or bits of whimsy, hence the blue tank, the red shoes and of course polka dot tights! I also have been wearing my labradorite a lot recently, especially with a simple outfit like this, it really stands out.

This is definitely a comfy day outfit, especially now that some days are starting off a little cooler and a little damp. Long skirts are the easiest way to try without really trying at all, I love that. The only downside to this particular ensemble is that I have no pockets, which is nearly essential for me at work. The pocket belt I have doesn't fit my phone so I went to this local place, Mishu, to pick out one that would. They were clearing out all damaged products in 10$ bins so in addition to picking up a belt with a 'broken' snap I got a few other goodies.

Phone fits, yay! Thanks to the saleswoman who actually reminded me to test the pockets with my phone first before leaving, success!

This dress caught my eye because of the pattern, simple but not boring, the shape and the buttons down the front. I knew it would be great for fall and winter, easy to layer and I really want to wear it with my docs! Buuuuut, I don't own a slip. To improvise I wore some slip-esque underlayers - a silky, shimmery skirt and a blue lace crop top.
The colors in this outfit make me think of vintage victory girls or pin up models, sorta like the classic 50s housewife with a twist. Red white and blue, but maybe its the black thats adding a twist? Either way, I like it. I would love to figure out victory rolls and rock that for a day!
