What I Wore - Soft Stripes
I forgot how much I love skirts! They are so easy and instantly make me feel like twirling when I put them on. I hadn't worn skirts in so long but somehow this summer I ended up with several different kinds and they're just so fun. I've subconsciously made some goals to 1) wear more skirts (and dresses? eeks!) and 2) learn how to style skirts better and 3) learn how to wear skirts even in the winter! I find that although I really love wearing skirts, sometimes I don't feel comfortable wearing them, at work for example. I can't tell if this is because I'm actually uncomfortable or if I'm most confortable in my everyday workwear. If the latter is true, and I have a feeling it is, then it's time to challenge myself a little more. Style is usually something I give up on right away instead of just pushing myself to break through, like I try to do with most other things. I'll keep working on that.

Channeling Al Capone, With Lace
Since I have fairly dark hair I used to do the pony wrap with a braid, but I love how much it stands out with colored hair. Le sigh, another pair of blue shorts, I did mentioned I was obsessed right? These ones have little pinstripes and as soon as I put them on I started channeling gangster. I don't know if borrowing the boys' suspenders and fedora count, but from the smug look on my face I was apparently feelin' pretty G.
I wouldn't normally gravitate towards these colors, in fact I initially zoned in on the same necklace in blue shades, but I'm glad I surprised myself because I really love it and I'm finding it neutral enough to play around with. Another thing fedoras are great for?! Spinning in the wind of course!

Blue Hair, Blue Shorts
I think I have an obsession with blue shorts, but this was the very first blue pair I bought. I love these, I think it's the buttons.
I really do love the pattern of this shirt, Target! It's my, feeling fancy without getting too fancy, shirt.
Is it just me or do paisley and rhinestones look great together? It might just be me, I love rhinestones, I often have rhinestone overload.
